Dr. Ellen E. Wilson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Wilson serves on the faculty of UT Southwestern’s Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and as Division Director of the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Clinic at Children’s Health.
A board-certified reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Wilson specializes in treating advanced reproductive disorders, including congenital anomalies of the female reproductive tract.
In addition to treating adults, Dr. Wilson has specialized experience in the medical and surgical management of gynecologic conditions unique to the pediatric and adolescent population.
She treats patients from infancy through puberty and beyond menopause, and she serves as a consultant for other physicians at UT Southwestern and in the community.
A Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Wilson joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2001 following eight years in private practice.
She earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. She then spent a year as a medical missionary in Zaire before completing an obstetrics and gynecology residency at George Washington University Hospital.
She completed two fellowships – one in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at UT Southwestern and a second in minimally invasive surgery at Woman’s Hospital in Houston.
Dr. Wilson is a member of professional organizations that include the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and the Association of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeons.
She is fluent in English and French.
